Last night we took the kids to the movies. We went to go see Madagascar 2. First we went to dinner at the mall and had some Mexican food. Then we went to the movies ! It was really weird because there were 20 minutes of commercials and 10 minutes of previews. I don't know if the movies in the states are like this now, but it was a big bummer because we burned up 30 minutes of the kids' attention span with that stuff. Well they lasted 1 whole hour through the movie. It was pretty darn funny, I was laughing out of my chair when the penguins were piloting/crashing the airplane then hijacking tourist off-road vehicles. Man that was funny, but then we lost Maya when the movie became all "blah blah blah" preachy and stuff. So when we had exhausted our options of getting popcorn etc. and had just about tormented our neighbors enough with talking kiddies we went home. I think Maya was starting to get sick and now this morning we're all sick. Well that's how it goes.
Christmas is family time. We got ourselves a wonderful tree, but we're feeling like we really would like to spend it with some other family. So we're trying to work something out with Laura and Jeremy. We'll let you know how it goes. Maybe we'll got to Paris with the kids.
I was looking below and noticed Grandma Bette tried to post a movie but it didn't seem to load properly. Keep trying Bette ! We'd like to see videos and contributions from the whole family.

i can't wait to start the new years with julian, maya, chris, and amanda! there is so much to explore here, i am glad we'll get to explore it together.
