Piano for 15 bucks

Julian had a friend at school who is from South Korea. His name is Ji-won. They are best friends. Ji-won's family just left for California and they couldn't take their upright grand piano. So we took it for the price of getting it moved: 15 bucks.
The sucker arrived last night and it's monstrous. I can't believe we agreed to take it. We had to find a place for it. Seriously it's as big as an elephant and now that elephant is sitting in our kitchen. The piano has been warming up to us. It smells like church. It has the smell of church candles. It's king of weird.
Anyhow, we thought it would be good for the kids to play some piano and they seem open to the idea. So we went next door to our neighbors and apologized for only being able to find a place to put it that is right up against the wall that we share with them. Then we set to get the kids to play their first song. We downloaded a music software that lets us place notes where we want and color them a different color. Then we colored a piece of paper that we put behind the piano keys. Now the kids can play Twinkle Twinkle little star by following the colors. Brilliant !
